Zonkeys

Señor Sabrosisimo had heard of zonkeys in Tijuana for many years, yet after many visits to the city he had never stopped to have his photo made with one.  On a recent trip to the Caesar Salad Festival on Ave. Revolucion, he stopped, paid 10 pesos for the photo and the rest is history.

Tucked away one block from Avenida Revolucion in central Tijuana is El Tucumano, an Argentinian Bistro with a variety of tasty empanadas.  They offer so many types of fillings that they place a guide on the table to help diners tell which ones are each type.

Rodriguez Dam

On the way to visit the Cervezaria Frontera in Tijuana, Señora Adora says "I want to take the long route and see the Rodriguez Dam."  Well, OK, here we go.  What we found surprised us.

Cervezaria Frontera

Just across the river from the Via Rapida in Tijuana is Cervezaria Frontera, a craft brewery that specializes in making artesanal ales.  Currently available in restaurants and at the brewery, their brews are full bodied and rich-tasting.

Macroplaza Insurgentes

When driving from Rodriguez Dam to Cervezaria Frontera, Señor Sabrosisimo and Señora Adora passed through a new commercial district with a large shopping mall.  Neither had heard anyone mention this area at all.  A couple of weeks later, Sr. S. decided to check it out.

What do you do when you have been busy shopping on Ave. Revolución and are hungry after haggling with the merchants there... and the place you thought you'd go doesn't open for two more hours?  Well, you ask one of the local merchants.  He said: "Go to Restaurante 58".
