Taqueria Charly's

Have you ever driven past that huge statue of Jesus near K38 on the Free Road between Rosarito and Ensenada?  If so, then you already know how to get to a great place for a good quick meal.

Located across the road from the entrance to Villas San Pedro, where the giant statue of Jesus is located, near K38 on the Free Road, Taqueria Charly's is a small comfortable restaurant with a big heart.  The owner Jaimé is usually there to welcome you with his warm and welcoming manner.  Charly was his uncle and was one of the original fishermen at Popotla - Fishing Village so they really know seafood very well.  Most of the staff are members of his family and several are bilingual.

Though the name leads one to think it is a taco stand, Charly's is actually a small restaurant with table service.  The menu is short, though very well prepared and inexpensive.  They are open for breakfast and lunch/dinner.  Beer is available and there is an outdoor enclosed patio, and take out and delivery are available.
